FCLaw to take a US$12 billion court case to the Court of Final Appeal

AAEC, a company represented by FCLaw, pledged to bring to the Court of Final Appeal one of the largest claims ever made in the World: a US$12 billion lawsuit against Las Vegas Sands for breach of contract and copyright violations.

In 2019, the Macau Court ruled in favour of an AAEC’s request to increase the claim from US$375 million (as reported by the New York Times in 2012 and the Wall Street Journal in 2013) to a higher figures of US$12 billion (as reported by Reuters and MDT). However, two two unfavourable judgments followed denying FCLaw’s Client its claim.

Although we are waiting for the delivery of the judgment, it has already been decided that AAEC will bring the case to the Court of Final Appeal. This was initially reported by the GGRA, and then by TDM (the Macau TV), MDT and Macau Business, among others.
